During my Bachelor's and Master's studies, I developed foundational skills in analytical chemistry, including HPLC separation of synthetic pyrethroid insecticides and aquatic physicochemical analysis using TOC analyzers, ICP-MS, and LC-MS for wastewater characterization. During my fieldwork, I visited drinking water treatment facilities, wastewater treatment plants across China, and municipal solid waste landfills in Italy.

As a research assistant and PhD candidate at the University of Copenhagen, I built extensive expertise in environmental microbiology through work with diverse environmental samples. My technical skills span traditional and molecular methods—selective plating, exogenous isolation, PCR, qPCR, shotgun metagenomic sequencing, and Oxford Nanopore sequencing. I have managed large-scale sampling campaigns involving over 200 samples and served as a teaching assistant for two courses: Human Microbiome (Block 1) and related laboratory experiments (Block 4).

As a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Gothenburg, I contributed to the Global Sewage Project, conducting antibiotic resistance selection assays on wastewater samples from 47 countries. I also provided teaching support for the Molecular Microbiology course (experimental part). This role strengthened my research capabilities, project management skills, and ability to supervise and mentor students.

My research has been supported by competitive grants from the Swedish Research Council (VR), FORMAS, the Joint Programming Initiative on Antimicrobial Resistance (JPI-AMR; DARWIN project), the Danish Council for Independent Research (SandBAR project), while during my Master's studies, three national Chinese programs, including the National Basic Research Program and the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
